Changelog

What's new in Chorus.

  1. FL Studio (beta)

Chorus works with FL Studio on the Mac: it reads your channels and patterns, writes and rewrites notes in any channel's pattern, makes new patterns, and sets channel volume, pan, mute, solo and names, the tempo and plug-in parameters, all staged as proposals with undo. Chorus installs two small FL scripts for you; the Playlist, sends and the master fader come later.

  2. Logic Pro

Chorus works with Logic Pro 12: MIDI regions and their notes, new tracks and regions, volume, pan, mute and solo, sends and returns, plug-in parameters, markers, inserting bars, and audio regions (flex, quantize, transpose, gain), all staged as proposals with undo. Allow Chorus Connect in Accessibility once.

  3. Sets with group tracks

Chorus reads sets with group tracks, and tells you plainly if Live ever can't be read instead of showing an old set.

  4. Devices inside racks

Chorus sees the devices inside Instrument, Audio Effect and MIDI Effect racks. The agent can read and tweak them, and the device view opens a rack's chains.

  5. Ready for real sets

Your Drum Rack's own pad names, clips that play only part of their notes (shaded on the piano roll), and group and frozen tracks, with a clear message when Live would refuse an edit.

  6. Keyboard shortcut editor

Rebind, remove or reset any command's shortcut in Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts. Tooltips, menus and the command palette follow your bindings.

  7. Clip overview strip

The whole clip in miniature above the piano roll and the audio view, with the visible part boxed and changed bars marked.

  8. Clip gain in dB

Set audio clip gain in decibels. Chorus measured Live's clip gain curve, so −6 dB means −6 dB.

  9. Warp markers

See Live's warp markers and the grid they put on your audio. Drag, add and delete markers, and stage Live's own audio Quantize as a proposal.

  10. Placements play like Session view

Clips placed in the arrangement play their pickup once, and one-shot clips play once.

  11. Repair from History

If Live refuses a step partway through an apply, undo or redo, Chorus offers to finish it or put back what ran.

  12. Arrangement editing

Insert bars, remove bars, clear ranges and manage locators, all with exact undo.

  13. Plan → Build

Ask for an arrangement plan with sections and bar counts, edit it, and build it in Live's arrangement in one step.

  14. Proposals in Live's units

Device and mix proposals show Live's own labels and dB values.

  15. Hear it in Live

Play a proposal on your real instrument in Live; Stop puts the original back.

  16. History

Undo and redo everything applied to Live, kept with the set across restarts.

  17. Rules

A producer profile plus global and per-set rules the agent follows, and tracks you can lock.
